Researcher since: 2016
Astghik Grigoryan has been engaged in the field of urban and land planning since 2002 when learning the Swedish practice on land readjustment, joint facilities and commons while pursuing Master Degree in Built Environment at the Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). Afterwards she continued her academic activity at National University of Architecture and Construction (NUACA) through research and lecturing with a main focus on urban land planning and development. In parallel, while working at the National Social Housing Association of Armenia (ASBA) she has been practicing and advancing her knowledge through approaching practical issues in Armenia’s urban planning field with a special focus on residential area development and management.
Since 2015 she is a PhD student in Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon and since December 2016 a contributor researcher at CiAUD. Her main research interest is the link between urban quality and property-based urban management features especially when there is a severe scarcity of public funds.
