Joana Sette Pimenta de Mesquita Lima

Joana holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Geography (University of London) and a Master’s degree in Development and Planning: Environment and Sustainable Development (Bartlett – University of London) where she researched slum regularization in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Architecture and researches urbanism and planning in the post-conflict context, with a particular focus on Dili, Timor-Leste.
As part of her research she also looks at post-colonialism and the urban space in the Global South. Additional research interests include housing policies in Portugal.
